Data Processing Policy

Roles

For the content you upload, you are the data controller and Viral Lab is the data processor. We process your material only to deliver the service you requested.

How footage is processed

Uploads travel over encrypted connections and are stored encrypted in access-controlled cloud storage. Files are assigned to a single editor and a quality reviewer. All access is logged.

AI-assisted processing

We use AI tools for transcription, silence removal, caption generation, clip suggestions and audio cleanup. These are business-tier services configured so your content is not used to train the provider's models.

Sub-processors

Cloud storage and hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and AI production tools. Each is contractually bound to confidentiality. A current list is available from privacy@virallab.com.

Sensitive content

If your footage includes patients, minors, employees or other sensitive subjects, tell us at onboarding so we can apply restricted handling. You remain responsible for all necessary consents and for compliance with your industry's privacy rules.

Retention and deletion

Raw footage is deleted 60 days after delivery. Finished videos remain in your portal for 12 months. You may request earlier deletion at any time; we confirm within 7 business days.

Breach notification

If a security incident affects your content or personal data, we notify you without undue delay and no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of it.
